Democracy today

12th May 2006 at 01:00
A new Hansard Society website hosts an online discussion forum about crucial issues facing democracy today. It has been launched in conjunction with a new series of pamphlets addressing concerns about the future of democratic politics at home and abroad. The "Democracy Series"

covers topics ranging from Islam and democracy to the future of the British constitution. Each pamphlet contains an essay accompanied by commentaries from experts. The site picks up on the issues raised in the pamphlets and opens up the discussion. The "Democracy Series" pamphlets can be downloaded free from the site.
