Cathays High School in Cardiff has opened a specialist unit dedicated to teaching life skills to pupils with autism. The room, which has a fully fitted kitchen and will allow pupils to prepare for independent living, follows on from the success of the school's autistic base opened five years ago. Students have gone on to gain excellent GCSE grades and moved on to further education courses.
