Given the brouhaha over the destination of the Stone of Destiny, there is a suggestion it might be gifted to schools, perhaps on rotation, to encourage promotion of Scottish history and culture, although it could have other uses.

So we begin the How to Use the Stone of Destiny competition. Try these for starters: Something to be dropped on miscreants; an alternative focus for graffiti; the first and only brick in the school refurbishment programme.

However, Jotter feels readers may be more inventive yet. A tenner for those published.
