Dickens adaptations

Hot on the heels of the BBC's 'Martin Chuzzlewit', the National Film Theatre in London will be screening a series of Dickens adaptations throughout December, including 'Little Dorrit', December 17, starring Patricia Hayes and Joan Greenwood (above) and an all-star cast; the 1951 version of 'Scrooge', December 22, starring Alastair Sim, and the much-acclaimed RSC version of 'Nicholas Nickleby', December 18, which runs for an epic eight hours.
