Director retires

Graeme Young, director of education in Falkirk, announced this week that he is to take early retirement at the end of the month. Dr Young joined the council as director in 1995 and has overseen a pound;70 million programme of school building under the public private partnership (PPP) scheme. Dr Young was education officer, assistant director and finally head of service with the former Central Regional Council.
