IT is clear that the debate over the enforced closure of Bilston Community College is not going to go away. While the arguments continue as to who was to blame, we must remember that it is the students and the community who often lose out in such situations .
Having been involved in education for 22 years, 13 at Bilston, I belive that there is a need to provide a properly resourced mechanism which can represent student and community opinion in such situations.
Nowhere is this more necessary than among the disadvantaged and excluded communities, such as the one in Bilston.
