Forget about those educational websites for a minute, the worthy curriculum ones. What about your worth, or, more to the point, money's worth? The people behind Teachersdiscount.co.uk reckon you can save up to 10 per cent of your salary with them by claiming discounts of up to 75 per cent (with David Lloyd Leisure) from a range of 160 suppliers, from mortgages to holidays, including the likes of WH Smith, PC World, even American Express.
That is some claim, but at least it doesn't cost anything to register and check out the pledges. There are also competitions, one for an Acer laptop and a regular one to build up a joke database - eg "Q. Why was the Math's book unhappy? A. It had too many problems." Can you do better?
