A district nurse lives in town A. Each week she visits towns B, C and D.

There are direct roads joining the towns, though not as straight as on the map.

1 The nurse may visit the towns in any order but she must go to each town once and only once. What is the length of the shortest route she can take?

2 In the first week of January, the nurse has to go to B and D once and to C twice. What is the length of the shortest route she can take?
