Diverse needs

21st May 2004 at 01:00
The Montgomery Development Education Centre is offering courses to help schools reflect on their current practices and recognise the need for effective multicultural and anti-racist education. Effective practices will be linked to rights and responsibilities, values and citizenship, and teachers will learn about suitable resources for the classroom.

The course looks at individual diversity and ways to integrate an anti-racist approach across the 5-14 curriculum.

Run in the north-east by MDEC, the course is also available in other parts of the country through local development education centres. Interactive workshops are available, prices vary.
