DIY school in south London

A GROUP of parents whose children have been refused places at their preferred South London secondaries are preparing to set up their own.

Many of its expected 56 pupils were rejected from seven Southwark schools only to be offered aplace eight miles away at Kingsdale School in Dulwich. Although it came off special measures earlier this year, Kingsdale has failed OFSTED inspections in the past and many parents are unwilling to send their youngsters there.
