We hear of plans from the Western Isles to mark the millennium in local schools. Among the suggestions is a Domesday Book compiled from text and pictures sent in by every school. Would this Domesday project, we wonder, involve the Nicolson Institute in Stornoway and the town's Lews Castle School, whose separate identities are due to disappear.
