Download and remix: Great prizes for schools and pupils

The deadline for the Apple RMX '05 competition, supported by The TES, Youth Music, Sony BMG and dbass.org, has been extended until July 15. All entrants now have an extra seven weeks to use Garageband software to remix sample loops from major artists including Kasabian, Natasha Bedingfield (pictured) and Faithless. The samples are available to download at www.dbass.orgrmx05

Winners receive an iBook music bundle or an iPod, while netting an iMac G5 music bundle and a free dbass.org station for their school or Youth Music Action Zone.

If you are looking for inspiration, or want to see how your current entries are doing, take a look at the RMX05 chart of the most listened to entries on the dbass.org website. Click on the artists' names to find out more about these potential stars, and by listening to your favourite tracks you can help them to climb the chart towards that much acclaimed number one position.
