Early delivery of results

5th March 2004 at 00:00
An exam board released results from January's A-levels and AS-levels yesterday, a week earlier than normal. Edexcel, the board taken over by the Pearson publishing group last year, says the move has been made possible by technology improvements, including on-screen marking. From yesterday, schools and colleges were able to access students' results online. They will also receive results by post next Thursday.
