Early-years advice;In Brief

New advice for early-years educators was launched this week by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. Six goals are presented, based on six areas of learning, and emphasise skills from personal and social development through to creative development. Further guidance on curriculum planning, to be published by the QCA in the summer term, will offer additional advice to providers in the Government's early years partnerships Copies of Desirable Outcomes for Children's Learning on Entering Compulsory Education are available from the QCA on 0181 867 3333.
