Easter conference season

* Three wise men should spend a year sifting through the responses to the Government's pay Green Paper, says Conservative education spokesman David Willetts. He told the conference Mr Blunkett did not have enough time to take account of the 25,000 responses he has received.

"There are alternative ways forward. The best thing is to spend a year with three outside experts reviewing what comes out as a result of the consultations."
