Education Minister takes first decision to streamline FE

14th November 1997 at 00:00
* The Education Minister has taken his first decision to streamline FE in North Ayrshire in his own constituency. Three colleges were competing to establish a presence there but Brian Wilson has come out in favour of the proposal from James Watt College to set up an FE centre in Kilwinning, which was backed by the local council. The FE needs of the Three Towns area will be discussed with James Watt, Kilmarnock and Ayr colleges.
