Colleagues are enjoying the presidency of West Dunbartonshire's very own Tommy MacKay at the British Psychological Society.
At a meeting where a fellow psychologist boasted about the importance of his job, size of his salary and many other things, MacKay was asked by the person sitting next to him, as they do in the trade: "Do you think he's got a wee personaity problem?"
To which the president magisterially replied: "No, he's probably got a big personality problem arising from having a wee something else."
In Manchester to speak to the north-west of England branch of the society, MacKay noted someone sporting an unusual tie and asked: "What's your tie?" "It's the British Psychological Society's."
