ELL of a good move

Bruce Robertson, Aberdeenshire's director of education, has lost no time in giving his department a make-over.

The service is to be changed after the council elections in May from ERS, as it were, to ELL. So the education and recreation service will change to education, learning and leisure. Robert-son says the term "recreation"

tends to have "a 1970s feel to it". Clearly, there is no greater condemnation.
