* English NUT members will be taught a lesson on pupil assessment in Wales.

Conference delegates will be handed leaflets on the scrapping of tests for 11 and 14-year-olds, amid calls from some English branches for the policy to be adopted across the Severn.

Gethin Lewis, secretary of NUT Cymru, said education reforms in Wales were often held up as models for action in England.
