Europe launch of learning links

LIFELONG learning will be central to the latest phase of Europe's biggest education action scheme, launched this week by education minister Baroness Blackstone. The pound;140 million, seven-year Socrates programme involves 31 European countries and promotes eduction links between them from primary pupils to adult learners.
