The New Designers Exhibition 2001, at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London N1, July 5-15, is the showcase for design graduates from more than 100 UK design colleges. Part One, July 5-8, will focus on ceramics, contemporary applied arts, furniture, glass, jewellery, silversmithing and metalwork, design management and product design. Part Two, July 12-15, will focus on graphic design, advertising and packaging, illustration, interactive media, modelmaking, spatial design, textiles, fashion and accessories. Web: www.newdesigners.com Groups of post-16 students will be able to discuss cutting-edge science with leading UK researchers at The Royal Society's summer science exhibition at 6 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1, July 3-5. Each student will receive a free educational resource pack and resources based on the exhibits will be available on a new website for 16 to 19-year-olds.
