The Make it in Scotland roadshow gives students the chance to find out about employers and jobs ranging from dry-stone walling to bagpipe manufacturing before selecting their Standard-grade subjects. The last destination is Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, March 21-24.

During Design and Technology Week, June 26-30, pupils' achievements will be celebrated through exhibitions of their work. Events include a DT challenge for whole year groups, designers in residence, engineers visiting schools, a DT teachers' conference, and visits to companies and museums such as London's Design and Science Museums.

Architecture Week is from June 16 to 25. Events include walks, talks, tours of new buildings and architects' practices, exhibitions, family activities and film screenings. Organisers include the Royal Institute of British Architects and Arts Council England.
