JENNY Gubb, in her article on "reduced research" (TES, June 4), is kind enough to mention Topic, which she refers to as "the in-house magazine of practical applications of research from the National Foundation for Educational Research".

In fact Topic is available to the general public. Subscribers receive two packs of photocopiable articles focusing on practical research findings relevant to schools, plus a free binder. For further information, contact the communications unit at the NFER (01753 747199747179).
