Exam boards fail to make the grade

Exams regulator Ofqual released reports on standards in biology and chemistry GCSEs and A levels, GCSE maths and A levels in geography and critical thinking, which raised "concerns about the maintenance of standards". The Department for Education said they showed "evidence of a gradual decline in standards" and that the exam system falls short of commanding confidence in it.
