19th November 2010 at 00:00

Exeter College is the latest to gain Green College status, joining a third of all colleges now committed to promoting environmental sustainability. The Green Colleges Declaration requires participants to ensure prudent use of resources, adopt environmental standards in building design and incorporate sustainability into the curriculum. Principal Richard Atkins said: "Exeter College is delighted to be signing the declaration. We can all play a small part in caring for our environment and looking after it for future generations. Signing up to the Green Colleges initiative demonstrates how Exeter College and its students and staff are committed to achieving this."
