Priests are instructing teachers in Poland on how to recognise if a student is possessed by the devil.

The Catholic Church in Lodz said response to its course titled "Expelling demons and exorcism in the educational process" had been overwhelming.

Father Jaroslaw Pater said: "So many teachers turned up for a recent session that they spilled out of our audience hall at the chapel."

But there is concern that teachers may use possession as an excuse to bully students they dislike.
