An eye on the weather

20th May 2005 at 01:00
Wondering whether to take your brolly to work? On the BBC website you can check the weather before leaving home and see what's in store for the next five days. The site covers all areas of the UK, as well as the rest of the world, giving weather warnings, pollen counts and climate guides. The sports section gives updates and forecasts for scheduled events and the coast and sea section offers shipping and coastal forecasts, sea temperatures, pressure charts, surf reports and tide tables.

There is also a focus on climate change, with details of the evidence and impacts of current and predicted changes in our climate, as well as ideas for adjusting our lifestyles to prevent further problems. The policies section covers the Kyoto Protocol, agreed earlier this year.
