Fair trade awareness

11th November 2005 at 00:00
The Co-operative Movement's history and values make it a natural ally of moves towards fair trade. In publishing Make Your School Fairtrade Friendly, the Co-op is taking a practical step towards enlisting the thoughtful support of children under the age of 11. The pack is available as a hard copy or online. There are pages of suggestions for activities in and out of class, from ensuring sports equipment isn't made by exploited labour to devising art and drama on relevant themes. Dozens of pictures and fact-sheets add ballast to the ideas. Make Your School Fairtrade Friendly is available from the website.
