Fighting dirty

Eagle-eyed television news devotees may have caught a snatch of last week's parents demo in Moray against plans for primary school restructuring (closures to us all).

Senior education official Alastair Farquhar appeared to be the butt of the protests. One parent's placard was slightly obscured. We assume the letter "S" was missing from the slogan "crap the Farquhar plan".

We are not sure whether this was an instruction or opinion. But councillors agreed anyway.
