Final warning for Leicester rebels

14th January 2000 at 00:00
PARENTS who are still refusing to send their children to a new "super school" in Leicester have been given a final warning that they face prosecution by their local education authority.

Nineteen parents have refused to send their children to Nw College since it opened in September, in protest at the closure of six schools. In October, Leicester backed down on a threat to prosecute the protesters. If the parents fail to comply within 15 days, they could be fined up to pound;2,000.
