Language teachers and heads are invited to the launch of Double Club: German at Arsenal's Highbury Stadium, London N5, 5-7pm, to find out about a Year 8 project and resources that were recently piloted at Swanlea School, Whitechapel. The project offers a weekly after-school workshop including two rotating 45-minute slots of German language instruction (led by the class teacher) and football training (led by an Arsenal trainer).

Capitalising on the interest generated by next summer's World Cup in Germany, the project will also include extracurricular activities such as school football tournaments, and the chance for pupils to publish poems and drawings online.
