Forced marriage

Letter to the editor

I read with interest your excellent article "Forced Marriages: the wrong sort of holiday deal" (July 3). I am relieved that this issue is receiving serious attention as summer approaches, when forced marriages may be on parents' agenda. I would like to make all TES readers aware of a recent publication that chronicles the personal plight of one young woman caught up in this and other related issues. The Imam's Daughter by Hannah Shah is published by Rider. Hannah also has a website www.hannahshah.com where young people can receive confidential help.
