Formative Fun

25th May 2001 at 01:00
It's not always easy to find toys and games for pupils with learning difficulties. Formative Fun is a specialist retailer whose new website helps match children's needs to particular products. The ingeniously designed site allows those caring for children with difficulties to search under the name of more general conditions - autism, Down's syndrome, hearing impairment, and so on - or under particula characteristics or areas such as gross motorskills or aural and visual sequencing. The products have been tested and endorsed by practitioners in the field, and include puzzles, puppets, pulleys, pencils and much more. There are more than 20 retail shops listed on the website. Further information: Formative Fun, Education House, Horn Park Business Estate, Broadwindsor Road, Beaminster DT8 3PT. Tel: 01308 868999.
