Former student hits right note

FErret has been given some interesting information for those who like to listen to modern music.

A young man called Daniel Bedingfield, who apparently has been doing rather well in the hit parade, is famous for having composed his 2001 No 1 single "Gotta Get Thru This" (sic), in his bedroom in south London.

Less well-known is a piece of work he composed at Lewisham college, when he was a student there. It is called "Welcome to Our World" and is now used as the jingle on its telephone switchboard.
