Four convicted

Three students and a lecturer were found guilty at Bow Street magistrates, London, of common assault and threatening behaviour after throwing paint and flour over Tory party chairman Dr Brian Mawhinney in November. Kingsway College students Kate Doyle, Naveed Malik, Amanda Egbe and Brockley teacher Anthony Gard will be charged on May 14. A fourth Kingsway student, Nick de Marco, was cleared of all charges
