Watch out for the British Pathe website where you can view some of the 90,000 items that make up the 3,500-hour British Pathe Film Archive, an amazing slice of British and international history from 1896 to 1970.

Although this is a commercial site, the low-resolution material (licensed for use in schools) is free to download. It's a site to watch because, as broadband becomes more widespread, the range of facilities for educational use is likely to increase.
