Mary Hallett is the school secretary at St Patrick's RC primary school near Enniskillen in County Fermanagh But she is much, much more. Bernard O'Connor, head of this 170-pupil school set in rolling green hills, says: "She's an absolutely wonderful woman and I can't imagine what we'd o without her. I call her the boss." Central to the life of the school, Mary was nominated for our flowers by P7 teacher Brian Treacy, who says she acts as "nurse, agony aunt, human Filofax, typist and courier" to all the teachers. And she does it "with a smile and laugh".
