Further strikes loom

Lecturers at Glasgow Metropolitan College took two days of strike action this week in protest at salary levels. It will be stepped up to three days after Easter, lasting until June, if there is no settlement. The action was backed by 100 per cent of Educational Institute of Scotland members in a strike ballot, described by the union as "unprecedented".
