Gap concern

Delegates at the Trades Union Congress voted in favour of a motion expressing concern at the funding gap between colleges and schools, writes Michael Shaw.

Barry Lovejoy, head of colleges at Natfhe, the college lecturers' union, and Peter Pendle, general secretary of the Association for College Management, called for equal funding for 16 to 18-year-old students.
