Geology - More than a layer of rock

15th January 2010 at 00:00

The Scottish Qualifications Authority will this month hold a Geology Quality Network event in Stirling.

The event will be relevant to all teachers and lecturers, either currently involved in, or interested in, delivering national courses in geology at any level.

The focus of the day will be on making practical use of resources. The event will offer advice on the location and best use of existing resources and an introduction to new SQA materials. There will also be a series of interactive workshops designed to demonstrate practical skills in the delivery of geology and provide guidance on carrying out fieldwork.

The event takes place on January 29.
