TEENAGE girls think sport is "uncool", a survey by Adidas, the sportswear company, has found.

Teachers said girls hated swimming because it spoiled their hair, did not want to get sweaty or disliked changing rooms.

Pupils said the main reason they liked sport was "fun", but they were put off by getting hurt, not being good at it, and the kit. Sport Uncovered is available free from Georgina Gwilliam, Hill and Knowlton, 35 Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4SG
