Going, going guide books

13th April 2007 at 01:00
Now you can download a guide to the Tower of London direct to your mobile phone, thanks to a range of "mobi-guides" presented by the historian and television presenter Dan Snow.

The walking tours, which last about one and a half hours, also take in Trafalgar Square, the South Bank and Whitehall and Westminster. The short films include archive footage and commentary as well as key facts, such as the coronation of the Queen and the building of the London Eye.

A spokeswoman said: "The days of stuffing a guide book in your bag are over."
