Governors 'a clique'

Union members criticised college governors for being an undemocratic, "incestuous" clique at the UCU congress

John McCormack, from Newcastle College, said governors could "give lessons in secrecy to the Freemasons". A motion from Richmond upon Thames College, which faces job losses after student numbers dropped, called for the union to campaign for democratically accountable college governance.
