The secondment of Jim Duffy, head of St Cadoc's primary in Newton Mearns, to the hot seat at Calderwood Lodge Jewish primary has led him to remark, with reference to his Donegal ancestry: "I never thought I would have been in charge of a lodge. I don't know what my grandparents would have thought."
