Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) teacher pack

3rd March 2000 at 00:00
Public transport is one of those subjects guaranteed to produce strong opinions, usually negative. To tilt the balance in favour of buses, trains and (right) trams, the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) has produced a pack for teachers called Going Places: lining together all forms of public transport. It's a bit dry but the information is sound and it's free. A resourceful teacher could no doubt use the photocopiable cards to more imaginative effect. Contact: GMPTE Bus Services Dept, 9 Portland Street, Manchester M60 lHX. JW.
