Grenada Learning sold

The UK's educational software market could be in line for a radical shake-up following the agreed sale of Granada Learning to US private equity firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS). The sale, part of a pound;300 million disposal by ITV, was agreed in early April and expected to be completed by the end of the month. VSS already owns Sherston Software. As TES Online went to press, the role of Nigel Ward (pictured), Granada Learning's widely respected MD, was uncertain.
