Gripped by trip

OBLIGATORY Big Brother item: The Diary has a shrewd idea about what teachers at Hunslet Moor primary in Leeds will be discussing in the staff-room when they come back next week.

Spotted outside the Big Brother house on the day Nasty Nick got his come-uppance were headteacher Julia Norton and her nipper Adam, 1, down on a day trip to the smoke.

Adam, smart lad, told vox-pop hacks from the Press Association that he had his suspicions about Mel. Julia, meanwhile, said she rarely watched TV but admitted "this has had me gripped".

A 400-mile round trip to see the Big Brother house? Now that's commitment.
