Happy coincidence

Chris Woodhead had to cancel an appearance at Hertfordshire university earlier this month, owing to a "hospital appointment". So staff were surprised to see the former chief inspector pop up that evening on a live BBC debate. Had he bunked off in favour of the BBC appearance fee? No, he told Bristol's Evening Post, his appointment had simply been rearranged later, which had suddenly left him free to show his face on television.
