(Photograph) - Having a ball: pupils from three Cardiff schools started the summer holidays with a production of Cinderella at the Gate Arts Centre in Roath.

The production of the pantomime opera was funded by the Arts Council of Wales and gave the youngsters, including Paris Cowell as Cinderella, above, the chance to work with musicians, dancers, artists and actors such as Michael Murphy, above left
