Recommended for English as a foreign language or media studies teachers, breakingnewsenglish offers a free daily lesson plan based on world news and current affairs. Each day a topical issue is added to the site, accompanied by a downloadable lesson plan and class handout. There are ideas for "warm-up" and "cool-down" class debates and recommended activities as well as further ideas for homework. With daily updates and a topic for every day since November 1, 2004, this site boasts a great range of subject matter and should keep you well occupied. Everything on the site is free to access and free from copyright.
